Pastoral Care Team
Student Review Board
The Pastoral Care Team (PCT) is entrusted with taking care of the pastoral well being of students attending St. Augustine’s College. It is also the responsibility of the PCT to organize various activities for parents related to their family life. The functions of the PCT are carried out by three separate boards, all chaired by the coordinator who is also the Vice Rector of the College. These three boards are: • the Student Review Board • the Students’ Social and Pastoral Activities Board • the Parents’ Pastoral Care Board Besides the Coordinator and Spiritual Director, the team also comprises the following: The Counsellor is the person with whom students build a trusting relationship so that they can, if the need arises share their difficulties and together try to overcome them. He helps students understand the problem so that it is the student himself who proposes adequate solutions. The Guidance teacher offers students help in mapping out their future career, by helping them plan their studies, choices and their relationships within the College. The Year Tutors are teachers assigned responsibility for a class of students. These responsibilities include amongst others:
