These activities are varied
in number and scope. The College
is decorated from top to bottom
in the days leading to Christmas,
filling all who come inside the
College with
Christmas cheer and putting a
smile on even the dourest of
faces. Students decorate their
classrooms and hold a number of
parties, according to their age
group.
Activities also involve
film shows shown on the big
screen in the multi-media hall,
Christmas crib competitions and
the annual football traditional ‘battle’
between teachers and fifth
formers.
The
Christmas Lunch is a very popular
event in which whole families
take part to celebrate
Christmas together.
The
religious aspect of Christmas is
obviously at the forefront. Apart
from the Christmas Holy Mass for
the students and teachers, the
significance of the birth of Our
Lord is emphasized at all times,
especially in the large,
beautiful crib mounted at the
entrance, which makes everyone
stop and stare at the sheer
beauty of the scene.
