This is the first official
activity which inaugurates the
new scholastic year. It consists
of the celebration of Holy Mass ,
usually including a surprise or
two, followed by the introduction
of new students and new teachers
to the rest of the community. It
is the first opportunity for all
students to meet their new Year
Tutor, and their classmates, after
the summer holidays.
The first groans accompanying the
handing out of the lesson
timetable are heard, as well as
the first cheers at the
announcements made.
