30th April 2012 - ICT achievement @ St. Augustine College

On the 30th April, St. Augustine College took part in three competitions organized by the Curriculum Management and eLearning Department held during the annual ICT exhibition EMBED 2012.

Daniel Magro, Michele Vella and Daniel Cassar battled their way through the Robotics competition and their efforts paid off in first place.  Last week these students were presented with an alternative energy robotics kit as their prize.

Kyle Zammit, Ryan Falzon and James Azzopardi were another group of boys who eagerly participated in the “Scratch It” competition which involved creating a computer aided learning program consisting of a quiz and game based around the Second World War.

Luke Camilleri, Nathan Abela and James Brincat formed another group taking part in the “Scratch It” competition.  Their project consisted of another computer aided learning program with the subject being the Great Siege of Malta.

On behalf of St. Augustine College we would like to thank EMBED organisers for the initiative and the opportunity given to our students and IMS Ltd. for sponsoring the prize.

Most of all we would like to thank these students who work hard all year round and who gave their utmost for these competitions.  We are so proud of you!
